EMG 8500

Overview

The EMG 8500 is a compact edge management gateway for branch offices, remote sites and retail stores where space is limited. Two front slots take field-replaceable modules with four RS-232, four USB or four Ethernet device ports, and two rear slots take LTE, Wi-Fi or dial-up modem modules for out-of-band access. Automatic failover and failback to 4G LTE keeps engineers connected to network equipment when the primary link is congested or down. It is managed centrally through Percepxion for Networking.

Automatic failover and failback to 4G LTE, with private APN, VPN and public or private IP addressing.

Secure access

Telnet, SSH and HTML5 web terminal access, LDAP/AD, RADIUS, TACACS+ and Kerberos authentication, and FIPS 140-2 compliant cryptography.

Power and sensors

Controls and monitors supported PDU and UPS devices and accepts sensors for temperature, humidity, power and dry contacts.

Central management

Works with Lantronix Percepxion for Networking for monitoring and real-time notifications from one console.
