Out-of-band management
Console servers, edge management gateways, KVMs and accessories, with TACACS+, RADIUS and LDAP authentication.

Overview
Lantronix out-of-band (OOB) management products give administrators a separate, secure path to the serial consoles of routers, switches, servers and other IT equipment, so they can reach and recover devices when the production network is down. The range covers SLC and EMG console servers, the LM-Series console servers with closed loop automation, and Spider KVM-over-IP units. Console servers can be managed centrally through Percepxion for Networking, and LM-Series devices through Control Center.
Built for
- Data center and network rack console access
- Branch office and retail remote management
- Network recovery during WAN outages
- Remote KVM access to servers
Key features
Cellular failover
Console servers can fall back to 4G/LTE or 5G cellular links when the primary network is unavailable.
Centralized AAA
Remote authentication through TACACS+, RADIUS, LDAP/Active Directory and Kerberos is supported on SLC and EMG models.
Closed loop automation
LM-Series units poll managed devices over the console port and can run preset recovery actions, such as power-cycling a device or clearing an interface.
Zero-touch provisioning
Percepxion for Networking provides zero-touch provisioning, firmware compliance tracking and configuration backup for SLC and EMG fleets.
Hardware security
The SLC 9000 includes TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and FIPS 140-2 encryption.
KVM over IP
Spider and SpiderDuo provide remote keyboard, video and mouse access with virtual media support.
