Overview
The SLC 8000 is a modular console server that gives secure remote access to the console ports of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, PDUs and UPSs. Field swappable 16 port modules for RS-232 (RJ45), USB and Ethernet let the chassis be changed between serial and USB console or expanded up to 48 ports. Access is in-band over dual Gigabit Ethernet, or out-of-band through an optional internal modem or the Lantronix G520 LTE gateway with automatic failover.

Dial-up through an internal or USB modem, or LTE through the G520 gateway with automatic failover and failback.

SSH v2, TLS up to 1.3, firewall, per port permissions, LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, Kerberos and FIPS 140-2 cryptography.
Data capture
256 KB buffer per port, logging to file, syslog, USB, SD card or NFS, and email alerts on event strings.
Central management
Front panel keypad and LCD for setup, SNMP v1 to v3, and compatibility with Lantronix Percepxion.
