Pico5G IoT

Overview

The Pico5G IoT is the entry-level model in the Pico5G Series, a compact 4G network emulator that runs a complete 3GPP Release 17 eNodeB and EPC in one box. It supports LTE, LTE-M and NB-IoT in a single-cell configuration and is aimed at teams that need LTE connectivity validation without 5G. Like all Pico5G models it ships with pre-programmed SIM cards and SMA antennas.

Built for

  • LTE-M and NB-IoT device validation
  • IoT battery life profiling
  • Connectivity and roaming tests
  • Lab testing without a carrier network

Key features

Complete 4G network

Runs an eNodeB and EPC in one unit, so no carrier network or internet link is needed.

NB-IoT modes

Supports standalone, in-band and guard-band NB-IoT for NB1 and NB2 devices.

VoLTE testing

An embedded IMS server (P-CSCF, I-CSCF, S-CSCF) enables VoLTE tests.

Up to 500 UEs

Handles up to 500 concurrent active UEs.

Custom bands

Supports FDD and TDD bands, including custom bands.

Automation interfaces

Tests can be driven from the GUI, CLI, REST/WebSocket API or MCP, so lab runs can move into CI.
