Overview
The UDS1100 is a single port external device server that connects equipment with a serial port to an Ethernet network for remote access, monitoring and control. It carries serial data over the network by serial tunnelling, either between two device servers or to a Windows PC through Com Port Redirector. It is housed in a metal enclosure with integrated wall mounts, and the UDS1100-PoE version takes power from the network cable.

Key features
Serial tunnelling
Extends a serial link across a site or over the internet between two UDS1100 units.
TruPort COM port control
Com Port Redirector software lets Windows applications control remote serial ports and hardware pins as local ports.
Modem emulation
Accepts modem AT commands so it can replace dial-up modems without changes to the attached device.
Simple setup
Configure through the built-in web server, Telnet, the serial port or DeviceInstaller software.
UL 864 listing
Fire and alarm panel makers can add networking to UL 864 listed products without reapplying to UL.
