Overview
Venice is the Gateworks family of industrial single board computers based on the NXP i.MX 8M Mini or i.MX 8M Plus, with a quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.6 GHz. The five boards range from a 35 mm wide single-Ethernet board to a 6-port GbE networking board, and use Mini-PCIe sockets for wireless, cellular and other expansion. All are made in the USA, rated -40 to +85 °C and supported with Ubuntu, OpenWrt and Buildroot.
Built for
- Industrial networking and routing
- Wireless and cellular gateways
- Video and camera systems
- UAVs and robotics
Key features
Choice of i.MX 8M
Several boards are offered with either the i.MX 8M Mini or the i.MX 8M Plus processor.
Mini-PCIe expansion
Boards have one to three high-power Mini-PCIe sockets, and the GW7400 adds an M.2 B-key socket for cellular modems.
Up to 6 GbE ports
The GW7400 provides six Gigabit Ethernet ports, one WAN and five switched.
PoE and wide input
Most boards take 8 to 60 VDC or PoE input, and the GW7500 takes 5 to 20 VDC or USB Type-C.
MIPI video
The GW7200, GW7300 and GW7400 offer MIPI-DSI and MIPI-CSI for displays and cameras.
Industrial temperature
Boards are rated for -40 to +85 °C operation.
