Memsic

eOIS controller

One chip optical image stabilisation driver: linear Hall sensor, H bridge and PID in a 6 pin WL-CSP.

  • MSD4100WA
eOIS controller

Overview

The MSD4100WA is Memsic's single-chip driver for optical image stabilisation in voice coil motor (VCM) camera modules. It combines a linear Hall effect sensor, an H-bridge drive circuit and a PID control algorithm, and supports offset, sensitivity and linearity compensation. It comes in a 6-pin WL-CSP for mobile camera modules.

Built for

  • Smartphone camera modules
  • VCM image stabilisation
  • Compact mobile cameras

Key features

One-chip solution

Integrates the Hall sensor, driver and PID control for a VCM in one IC.

Silicon Hall sensor

A low-noise linear Hall sensor with a 16-bit ADC measures lens position.

Constant current driver

A 1-channel, 11-bit linear driver supplies up to 170 mA.

Built-in compensation

Supports offset, sensitivity and linearity compensation.

Fast I2C and I3C

I2C runs up to 3.4 MHz high-speed mode and I3C up to 12.5 MHz.

Tiny package

Packaged in a 6-pin WL-CSP of 0.63 x 2.37 x 0.315 mm typical.
