Overview
Memsic's Hall switches combine a Hall sensor and its switching circuit on one low-power CMOS chip, with built-in sensitivity and temperature compensation. They draw about 2.5 µA typical at 1.8 V and run from 1.65 to 5.5 V, which suits always-on lid and cover detection in battery devices. Parts are offered in DFN4, SOT23 and SOT553 packages with unipolar or omnipolar outputs.
Built for
- TWS earbud charging case lid detection
- Laptop and tablet cover switches
- Smart meters
- Wearables and domestic appliances
Key features
Ultra-low power
Supply current is 2.5 µA typical and 5 µA maximum at 1.8 V.
Wide supply range
Operates from 1.65 to 5.5 V.
Small packages
The MHA100KN comes in a 1.0 x 1.4 x 0.37 mm DFN4, with SOT23 and SOT553 options in the MHA18x series.
Defined hysteresis
A hysteresis window of a few gauss keeps the open and close switch points consistent.
Output options
Parts cover dual N/S output, single S-pole unipolar and omnipolar push-pull output.
RF noise immunity
Memsic lists good RF noise immunity for use near radios.
